The gaps between teeth are most often due to a disproportion between the size of the teeth in relation to the dimension of the jaw bone, i.e. the alveolar ridge.
In the case presented, the gaps are the result of the protrusion of the upper and lower front teeth.
The inclination of the upper and lower anterior teeth has been changed during the treatment with the orthodontic fixed appliance, which contributed to the jointing of the gap. In addition, deep bite was corrected.
In addition to the aesthetic effect, the stability of the bite at rest and during the chewing function has been achieved.
